Wow, this actually shows some good snow again for the PS region.

I'm thinking it's some phantom snow on the models like we had last fall.

This ECMWF run had considerably colder 850s next week than previous runs.  Kind of interesting.  Looks solidly cold.

Judahs model was right

Really?  He was saying the trough would be over the eastern half of the country.

Where is Tim? Last few times I've checked in I didn't see anything from him.

Been very busy... but I don't usually cheer for ridging from Nov-Feb because it either ends up being foggy/cold or very wet in the case of flat ridging.   I don't really have a horse in the race at this time of year.   Its all about the warm season for me.  I am not tracking the models real closely until cold/snow comes into the picture... other than to check the timing of rain events.

Also... we will be in Florida for part of November and that trip is coming up fast.

All good here... someone asked earlier too.   I have been posting more frequently in the sports thread.

Hope you are doing ok too... been thinking about you and your fiancee often since your last update.

No doubt there are two blocks likely over the next 12 days or so.  The first one looks on track to bring temps a good 6 to 8 degrees below normal (maybe more), and the second has huge potential to be even colder, but it also has huge potential to be too far west.

Baker already has 2' on the ground at 4,000'. Now the question is whether it can hold that/build on it through the weekend with snow levels rising above 5k.

I wonder what the average date for first accumulating snowfall is for snoqualmie pass. Seems a little early this year but maybe that’s because we were still talking about fires and smoke a week ago.
