Still 38F at the house but when the inversion deepens later this evening, a 10F temp drop will be imminent. Might go lower than 25F if all aligns well.

I sure wasn't expecting the single digit dew points tonight.  I currently have 40 degrees and still windy, but slowly calming down.  According to my weather station my peak gust was 42 today, but anecdotal evidence suggests it might have been stronger than that.

This air mass is extremely continental to say the least.  Places that are able to decouple will do very well.  I'm pretty impressed the temp has been falling slowly but steadily all evening here even with a pretty good wind still blowing.

And a lot of us. The ICON led the way as usual. PDX has a very real shot of 3 weeks without rain. In November. That would obliterate the previous record.

Hillsboro was 23 yesterday and dropped to 22 today. Their coldest temp since January 2017 (3 degrees) was 19 degrees (November 2019, February 2022), I wonder if they'll match that in the next few days.

The wind has sure overperformed here.  Still getting some big gusts at times.  I can't figure out how the wind can still be this strong with fairly unimpressive surface pressure gradients.  We might be getting some mid level momentum surfacing in this area.  That would explain the ridiculously low dps right now.

Day 3 .... We've seen this many times before. The models look like trash, just a convoluted mess, and then it all changes quickly. It won't be anytime too soon, but don't be surprised of the models look far more inviting in 5-6 days. MBG

Yeah you beat me to it. The wind is ramping up again. I see pressure rises occurring over the Columbia Basin and what looks like a closed high pressure cell. Winds could get intense overnight into Friday morning.
