Dropped down to -7F here this morning. Currently -5F.

Looks like BZN dropped down to at least -15F which shatters the record low for the date of -4F set back in 1958.

Has not been below freezing in North Bend since early Monday morning... bouncing around the mid to upper 30s there this morning with a light east wind.

Similar in places in the Fraser valley that see a lot of NE wind. Agassiz hasn’t been below freezing since last Friday.

Currently it is 17F. My wife woke up about an hour ago and said it was 16F. I wonder if it dropped lower than that. It is cold. She scrapped both of our cars and mine is starting to frost over again.

Beautiful morning. Eugene hit 21 on their 5 min obs. If that is official it ties a record low from 2000 and 2014.

Low of 28. Currently 28. DP 21.
Too bad that snow I had after the windstorm couldn’t have timed out with the dry weather…Andrew was the lucky one with that!

Front and back of the windshield were completely frosted over after only an hr hour of scraping by spouse. I've never seen that before. Had to run the defrost for several minutes but thakfully we were actual early to school (not too early so my kid wouldn't freeze even with layers).

Gone are the days of inversions with fogs?  It's actually quite unusual around here... just a** clear and dry, which of course helps the temps plummets.

Can't really complain about the fog though, had enough of the nasty shiet at the surface level.

As it currently stands, the 12z is showing less than 1" of rain over the next 10 days through the 28th.... which would almost guarantee a below average precipitation month.

But at least we have ice that aren't melting! If you can find water.  🤣

Looks like Olympia dropped to 18F this morning. That was the earliest low in the teens since 2014 and the fifth earliest since 2000. So not insane, but their average first date is December 16 so still about a month early. They've failed to drop below 20F eight winters since 1948.

27F here. A few readings in the low-mid 20s deeper into the valley.

Later tonight east winds back off and we try at it again with a similarly potent airmass. Should be the coldest night of the season. This morning's 27F ties 11/9 for coldest thus far.

The low dewpoints have been pretty impressive. Dewpoints in the upper teens down here since yesterday evening. We only fell to 35 for a low here with all the wind, but with things calming the next few nights and cold and dry continental air staying around at the surface it could get quite cold.

Hate to say it, and it is of course a little early to conclude it, but everything right now is consistent with heading into a period of prolonged regionwide drought.

Yep. A little early. The rainy season just started and mountain snowpack is off to a good start.

Good news is we picked up more snow this Nov then we did the entire 2014-2015 winter. 2014-2015 was the lowest snow total ever recorded and Donner summit beating out 1933-1934. So we got that going for us which is nice.

Doesn't it change drastically once you get into Mid Nov? So we should be using the NDJ maps instead? I thought I have heard people mention that before.
