November 2022 PNW weather Discussion. #NoRidgeNovember

It has been quite some time since we’ve had a meaningful and prolonged arctic blast and snow in the Dec 1-10 period. 2009 was the last I can remember, and that didn’t feature any snow for most places. Can we get a list of years going where we had anything substantial in this time period?

Perfect trajectory on this low. Dives straight for Cape Blanco and hits the sweet spot in southern Oregon. Would be the most prolific snow and cold combo since 2013 should this happen.

Dewpoints below freezing at Cape Blanco down to Brookings. Would be freezing spray at the blowholes in Yachats.

Except for the doughnut in the tri citites. I'm surprised we don't have anyone from there. But everywhere else would be great. Super far out but fun to watch.

That was fun. I'd take this run one thousand percent.

A dynamic 10" snowstorm followed by nine straight days below freezing, many of which are colder than 30F, a few lows in the single digits. Like a Dec 1925 throwback.

It was an amazing run, and not impossible. I think it does show the potential that lies ahead if the arctic trough does not dig off the BC Coast.

I've been reviewing my life a bunch, hard to believe I'm going to be 50 years old. The crazy thing is it's not bad. I remember when I was 25 thinking omg what am I going to do when I'm 50!?? Will I be able to run? Ride dirt bikes fast still? Have sex lol? And I really feel the same now as I did at 35 or 40. Life sure goes by fast. For all the younger people on here please make the best of it in your younger years and do not take things for granted.  So far I've had a good run in life and sure I've suffered some major losses of loved ones but I didn't allow it to take me down or slow me down.  My only complaint about my life now currently is finding good workers at my automotive repair shop, I just had to fire a guy so we are short handed now and I'm doing heavy line work out in the shop again and I'm not happy about that but we're a busy shop and there's always a bunch of work to be done. I also just realized I was only 35 when I joined this forum lol. WOW.

Good lord… I was 28 when I started an account here.😂 That’s a whole lot of model riding and f*ck around time.

I am 4 years away from that mark, and other than a lot more neck/back pain due do my past career, that fact that I cannot enjoy more than one adult beverage without be out of commission for two days, and it takes longer to get over nasty colds… I do otherwise still feel like I’m in my late 20’s/early 30’s. It is amazing just how fast time goes. Think I was in my mid to later 20’s when I joined the original forum…Crazy!

Yeah think about just how many hours we have spent together throughout the years…Probably more hours spent with our forum family than our actual family lol! (Well at least from November through March anyway)
