You get the impression this one is gonna over perform.

I'm on high alert since my wife teaching public schools in South Seattle and our son is in daycare down there.  Neither of us have 4wd or storage space for winter tires.

FWIW... the 12Z GFS just pounds the Hood Canal area on Friday into Saturday morning.

Cliff also forgot that it doesn't take much snow to cool down the roads for it to start sticking.

A lot of this has to do with precip rates... these flakes are flying hard and furious.

My 400ft made a huge difference. Was not really sticking when I got to the bottom

Also... a night in the 20s is pretty effective at making pavement cold.
