Is that Santa or the 18z GFS?

Would explain why an inch or 2 of snow seems like it is 20 when it's up to his nose (but his nose is in the ground).

Yeah, Santa took a nose-dive when our princess hunting dog "nope"-d it back into the house after a few steps in the snow and nearly drug my 6-foot 16-year-old son across the yard.

The area holding onto the cold has gotten very limited now.  Pretty wild south winds in some places.

If there is snow on the ground and it's clear I could see the upper teens being possible.  No matter what we have several days of cold weather coming up.  We are on a roll right now.

There’s a difference between what it’s assuming and what’s actually happening.

For example: it’s showing a foot tonight and we know that’s not happening.

now if we actually have some snow cover then I believe it. Looks like adding 10-15F to what it’s showing is a good bet.

worried about a warm nose even over here tomorrow.  some models showing a changeover or mixed precip later tomorrow morning

For your sake, I hope not. That warm nose is keeping me out of the event tomorrow but at least it was calling for that a few days ago for my location. That would be a major rug pull for your area if it happens.

Well, I guess the good news is that there wasn't much precipitation today up here so I didn't feel like I was missing out too much. Even if everything had fallen as snow, I would only have a half inch on the ground currently. A heavy rain band just moved through and that was the band all the models showed as snow here, but it wasn't particularly close. It did drop my temperature to 37F so only 5 degrees too warm I guess.

Thursday looks dry up here so I'll have to appreciate any cold temps we get.

Still 33 and snowing hard. Up to about a 3 inch snow depth on non concrete surfaces. Roads probably have about an inch on them maybe a little more. Definitely happy with how today turned out. It could have been worse.
