November 2022 PNW weather Discussion. #NoRidgeNovember

It looks like we could have more chances for snow after the dry cold period coming up. It would be nice to keep this snow cover going into the next event especially since it would mean over a weeks worth of snow cover here which is uncommon for this early in the winter. I feel like long dry periods after snow haven’t really happened the past few winters like along the line of low level cold. With how blocky this winter is turning out I wonder if I could end up having snow cover on a decent amount of days this winter. It looks like I’ll have snow cover at least through next Tuesday.

Dumping at chehalis airport

Unquestionably ahead of schedule according to the ECMWF.  On top of that they were only supposed to get very light stuff there.

Any estimates on how long till banding makes its way to N Seattle? Trying to decide if I should stay up to see the start or not.

Yikes!  I can't find my snow board, because I forgot to put a stake in the ground where it is. 🤪

The road in front of the house is totally froze up already.

I’d guess 60-90 minutes. Might be tough for it to lift north after sea-tac with drier air to the north.

Thanks, I'll just go to bed I think. Hope for that good white stuff in the morning (I kinda yolo'd and didn't study for a test so school better cancel)

Finished yesterday with a 35/29 spread. Also got 0.5” of snow to bring the total up to 7” so far which is really good for just November. Currently 30. Slush is turning to ice on the roads. Crazy to think that I have already probably seen one of my biggest snow events of the winter. Unless this winter is planning on having some insane snow events.  Which seems like it’s not out of question with the amount of blocking that’s happened so far.

Looks like cold continental air has begun to spill into Whatcom County.  Can't help but wonder if we might get a little bit of enhancement when the moist air meets the cold stuff.
