0.96inch of rain since midnight. Crazy! Wind is just...meh here so far. 21.7mph is the biggest gust I've recorded.

We put in a french drain this summer and it seems to be working very well! Our crawl space flooded after all the snow/rain we got around Christmas last year, so installing the drainage and getting the craw re-done were summer projects.

On the edge of the shadow here too... just some sprinkles and 57.    Also dead calm for the last couple hours after moderate wind earlier this morning.    I was expecting way more rain out here today.

It was pretty windy earlier but just breezy now. The fact that the shadow extends all the way to you is pretty amazing. How often does that happen?

Still not raining here. The river is just barely holding off to the north.

Looks like Bellingham is already on the cold side of the AR and they are at 40°F.

Still on the cold side of the AR. Leftover from the last cool airmass. They will probably switch to warming SSE winds later this evening. Seems like even a quick glimpse at a weather.com hourly forecast could confirm this.

While there you could also learn what to do with leftover Halloween candy, how to dispose of pumpkins, and 50 places straight out of nightmares as well. Win, win, win. weather.com rocks.

Looks like the airmass boundary is currently somewhere in Skagit County. Mt Vernon has switched to northerlies. About to reach Randy’s place!

I'm not sure we have seen the warm side yet....trying to figure it out.  I am about 3-4 miles inland from the airport, and a couple hundred feet higher, and I have popped up to 50 degrees.  The wind is kinda all over the place, its still coming out of the north in north WC and at the airport (barely), but coming from the south (and blowing at a decent clip) a mile or 2 west of the airport.

Looks like the wind is out of the south for me....

.08'' today. Not even sure when that fell. Phone said it was raining at one point, but I never noticed it out the window. Might have just registered some moisture when I shook out the rain gauge.

Definitely firmly in the shadow. Had to go downtown for work for a bit to check out our Data Center. Was actually quite pleasant walking around from the car to the Westin.

What do details at the surface look for that time? It doesn't seem to be working on Pivotal.

Pretty boring in the last frame but extrapolating past there, I feel like the ridge could position itself perfectly for that next system developing in the Canadian Rockies to push itself all the way up against the Cascades and blow over.

What's CCG?

Cross-Cascade Gradient. Where the backdoor push of Arctic air gets dammed up against the Cascades and even the Gorge Gap isn't enough to hold it all in, so it blows over the Belknap Gap in waves over the mountains and down the McKenzie and Santiam Rivers, filling the central and south Willamette Valley up with cold air directly from the east, instead of having to rely on the Gorge winds making it all the way down here.
