HuskyMaestro
If it's not snow, I'd love to experience 1"+ rainfall per hour around here like in the tropics. Or maybe I have but didn't notice it. I mention this cause I saw that our atmospheric river's origins come directly east from Guam. In Manila, I remember just an absolute deluge of blinding heavy warm rain that lasts about 40 minutes and then it becomes full sun for the rest of the day. 5 𝘐𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴, 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘯. Guam and also the Marianas Islands are a preferred origin spot for me personally. The further north the origin, the better IMO. I've experienced momentary rates of 1-2" an hour (most frequently during westerly surge events), but it usually only lasts a couple minutes and at most I pick up 0.2-0.4" during that time. Rubus Leucodermis
I experienced an inch in about five minutes as a teen in New Mexico once. Small but very intense summer thundershower. Looks like Aberdeen is at about 3" for the day. It would still need another inch to crack the top 30 wettest days, but the 5" in 24 hours is more impressive. That would at least make the top 10 wettest calendar days although of course there have probably been many more 24 hour periods wetter than that. 1 Home Wx Station Stats (Since January 2008): Max Temp: 96.3F (2009) Min Temp: 2.0F (2008) Max Wind Gust: 45 mph (2018, 2021) Wettest Day: 2.34 (11/4/22) Avg Yearly Precip: 37" 10yr Avg Snow: 8.0" Snowfall Totals '08-09: 30" | '09-10: 0.5" | '10-11: 21" | '11-12: 9.5" | '12-13: 0.2" | '13-14: 6.2" | '14-15: 0.0" | '15-16: 0.25"| '16-17: 8.0" | '17-18: 0.9"| '18-19: 11.5" | '19-20: 11" | '20-21: 10.5" | '21-22: 21.75" | '22-23: 10.0" 2023-24: 7.0" (1/17: 3", 1/18: 1.5", 2/26: 0.5", 3/4: 2.0", Flakes: 1/11, 1/16)
