41.7* this morning. Many rains have fallen. Kinda windy too.

Doggo decided that THIS rain wasn't okay to go out to pee/poo, but FRIDAYS rain was awesome and he wanted to be out in it all day.....🙄

"Many rains have fallen" struck my funny bone for some reason first thing this morning.  Not sure why but thanks for the chuckle!

Many rains have fallen here as well.

It's a heavy soaking rain.  Oh, and did I mention cold?  43 degree rain isn't anything to sneeze at.

About 1000' up in the sky it's all snow.

Snow level here this morning... its above 1,000 feet.

I think the deformation zone tonight has a better chance to bring low snow levels... less onshore flow at that time with the ULL slipping south later today.

The GFS runs yesterday showed about 4-5 inches of snow here this morning.    That was probably a combination of over-estimating cold air and terrain bleed from the Cascades.

0.85” this morning more than we got on Friday. We’ve almost passed Octobers total rainfall in less than a week of November.

Impressive.   Nice to see rain shadow areas last time getting in on the action.   You have had significantly more than SEA.  And only about .25 out here today so far.   The main focus of the heavy rain seems to be right over the Sound.

Made it to the cabin.  Fire is stoked, beer, pizza, ready for the snow storm tomorrow.  10 to 16 inches forecast for Winthrop.  Lot of friends thought I was crazy to drive over from the west side for one night but I wanted to be here for the first big snow fall.  Going to watch football tomorrow and enjoy the day and head home after dinner.IMG_20221105_152808.thumb.jpg.b2c9d2bfb32f58d12ddf1ef9cce922eb.jpgIMG_20221105_193805.thumb.jpg.f26fca38869c5a14d4ef2c2dd5c26e89.jpg

That’s not enough beer for a snowstorm.

We had some rainfall rates over 1” per hour a couple times this morning. Looks like it’s starting to turn showery now.

Can you hike up to it?

Very steep face if you start from here... but my sons have done it before.    There is popular trailhead to the east called Rattlesnake Ledge that goes to the top.   And another one to the west off I-90 that goes up and then across the entire ridge line.

Currently 38F and overcast. I'm not sure if we have posters from North Central WA but I'm excited for them getting a lot of snow.

No wet snowflakes up at 400' on Maple Leaf hill. I'd say the snow level is around 1500-2000' over the region.

Thrilled for California. NWS Reno and NWS Sacramento always do a good job with their highway snowmaps.
