Yuck. Flu? COVID? Cold? Whatever it is, nothing sucks more than being too sick to enjoy a snow day.

Not sure, still need to test but it seems pretty hardcore that started hitting me hard last night. Chills, massive headache and sore throat. Fun!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Could be part of it too.  I'm pretty sure the easterly breezes helped though.

I think if the east wind was helping then we would have had snow here too.    The wind was out of the east here all night and into this morning ahead of that incoming band.     But precip intensity was pretty light here... the best dynamics were near the Sound.

I had something similar last week. But it wasn't covid according to tests. I wondered if it was this new-fangled RSV... But it went away in 36 hours so hopefully you get the similar quick turnaround.

WRF is always wrong. Your location is an exception though.

For him it will come down to how much moisture actually arrives.  They will be cold enough for a good period of time.  Such a bummer for places a bit south.  If the block had been just a tad east significant snow would hit further south.

I heard it's going to be a nasty flu this year.  As you say though the good thing about the flu is usually goes away fast.

WRF is always way too aggressive with the outflow here and hence overdoes the snow totals across SE Vancouver Island.  This is certainly the case here. It’ll probably snow but not likely to be measured in feet

12Z ECMWF shows snow here tonight and I think that has a much better chance of happening... with a deformation band sitting right over King County most of the night and light wind.

Not sure why the GFS is still showing a snowstorm for Corvallis and Eugene

Because the GFS sucks. Above 750ft has a chance. Zero down here at 500ft.

The dynamics down the valley are pretty decent. Probably a touch too warm but gradients die down there in the next few hours with the heavy precip…

Yeah, I don’t expect a big surprise snowstorm at low elevations, but some posters on here could see some wet flakes falling for sure.

If there's a single positive splat, I will be the one to find it. I'm not letting one sneak by without me knowing about it. I should probably seek help.
