Pretty significant cold pattern throughout the country

And weā€™re mostly sitting under the ridge thatā€™s driving the cold air down. Would be nice if it trended a little closer to affecting us more significantly. Kind of like the 12z Euro showed.

Does that map mean much of NW Canada and parts of Greenland haven't had snow yet either?

Off the coast of Oregon on the other hand . . .Ā

Windier runs ahead? Foggier runs ahead? We need something and fast or else I'll have to resort to more outlandish GIFs.

Ohhh, wait!

Don't forget about the Lunar Eclipse beginning around 12:02 AM, Partial Eclipse 1:09 AM, and totality around 2:17 AM. Root for Moon Breaks!
I assume it will be just like last time though....

Beautiful eclipse. The clouds cleared at the perfect time for me and my wife to watch the moon move into earth's shadow. Really nice to have something sentimental like that as both her and I have not been doing well health-wise lately.

The only thing I dislike about the time change is my cat waking me up at 4:30 AM thinking its time to eat. Ugh. Little furry turd. Anyhow. 6z GEFS brings back a wet weather pattern just after Day 7. Who knows maybe what we thought was going to be a prolonged ridgy/cold pool/inversion dry spell won't really come to fruition? The CMCE agrees, and EPS does, but delays the pattern change a bit longer.

06z GFS brings the rain back. Seems like a logical path forward. The pattern is a bit of a mess but starting to get its act together by the end.Ā
