Looks like SEA has a shot at coldest first half since 1959.  Wow!  BTW all of the top 5 (minus this year) except one had very cold winters.

Down to 32 at my location. Kicking EUG's a** at the moment, they are at 35. I had a big head start though with a high of only 43. EUG appears to have gotten to 53. My location is shielded from sunshine this time of year with huge trees to my south and west that are only about 1/3 leaved out. It evens out after the leaves are gone.

Edit: Just checked in with my new homie a block and a half away and he's in the same boat.

Down to 31F here for freeze number 4 and number 5 in just a little bit.. Airport definitely got stuck in the warmer air today. Nice, crispy night. Beautiful stars and planets.

Beautiful morning here on the banks of the Piscataquah. 27 degrees on my morning walk. Storm coming in tomorrow but looks like we will be on the rainy side of it here.

I know I said it yesterday, but I am really loving these cold, cold nights. I'd be super pleased if we could keep this until the end of Winter. But, I feel like that would mean no (or very little) rain/snow, and that is just not a deal I am willing to make. lol

What do you consider to be a rainy day? >= .01''? >= .10''? >= .25''? Let's look at the stats for the past 5 months at PDX. This will be from June 19th - November 19th since there is no chance of rain through at least Saturday.

Days with .01'' or more = 22 

Days with .10'' or more = 14

Days with .25'' or more = 7

So, depending on your definition of a rainy day, we have had 7-22 rainy days in the past 153 days or 42% of the year.

Yea, 41 here across I-5. Looking like quite a mess in my yard. Some decent-sized Douglas Fir limbs down. Needles and small branches everywhere. Hearing bombs on the roof every few minutes. Not looking forward to walking around the whole yard when it's light out. To think... we have a few more days of this crap.
