It's been blocky all summer and fall.  No reason to think the pattern won't persist.

The goods are coming.  Eventually the block will hit the sweet spot and the cold will come crashing down.  Probably all the way to southern California.

It's going to be epic.  I just feel it.

Be fun to see 6" in LA.

I get what you're saying, but for my location zonal flow is perfect, as long as temps are not above normal.

I'm just saying that a blocky winter will end up being dry and more often than not the block is set up right over us.

You’re among the 5% of people here that can score with zonal flow.

There has never been a top-tier lowland PNW winter that didn’t feature anomalous blocking.

Currently 37 with a DP of 18. Lips are starting to get chapped from this dry weather. Whenever the NWS releases a wind advisory for east winds Duvall is literally exempt from it because there are no big gaps that Duvall is exposed to. Wind hasn’t gusted above 15mph all day here.

24.6 deg/21.2 deg day so far.  Currently 24.5 deg

Looks like a winter wonderland out here with everything coated white.  Wish it wasn't fake cold though :).

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Wind has been really bad in Enumclaw today. My girlfriend has a farm out there and two sturdy seeming livestock shelters literally blew away and ended up upside down on a neighboring farm.

00z GFS time!

Sorry I'm late, it's my month to bathe. What? Don't judge. Maybe I'm just hugely into water conservation? Maybe I'm Amish? No offense to any Amish members in the group, or who may have future plans to do so.

It's not my fault people the boring weather maps lead to pure nonsense like this. Anyways, let's see if there is a more concrete pattern change after Day 7, or renewed blocking over Alaska/150-160 W. C'MON!!!!
Oh, and in case you are new here, we will ALWAYS....

Think Cold and SNOW! C'MON!!!!

Whelk, glad I'm the only one here who likes dry and cold too. This has been a nice last couple weeks.
