For fun, here's what I'm thinking for the ballgames today while we stay distracted with the models.

Josh Allen o287.5 pass yds vs a terrible Lions defense.

Saquon Barkley o74.5 rushing yds vs a lousy Cowboys run defense.

Adam Thielen o3.5 receptions vs a stingy Patriots pass defense that will force Kirk Cousins into defaulting to Thielen.

7pt 3-leg teaser of Bills, Giants and Patriots.

I forgot to mention that Early December may feature a -AO/-NAO/-EPO/-PNA regiment, this is going to be fun up there.

Nevermid, the PNA is now expected to be neutral in Early December, changing from negative.

I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving Day.  Watch some World Cup Games or NFL and enjoy whatever it is you enjoy on the daily.  Food, Beer, Wine or Water.  Have fun.

The Allen and Barkley player prop bets above are solid.  Load up and lay five dimes on each.  Your dark colored Friday shopping will thank you.

Dropped to 30 at my back door.

Hoping for many many touchdowns in the next two weeks.

The chances for something good look like they are increasing with each Pepto colored map.

The warning shot trough Sunday/Monday early next week is pretty decent on its own. We’ve had years where we didn’t get something like that the entire winter. There could be some places that get lowland snowfall out of the first trough.
The second trough is a much more significant punch on the models obviously. I wouldn’t worry too much about the snow maps just yet. At this range it’s not really going to pick up the finer details. Particularly the south sound for potential of an arctic front moving North to South down the Puget sound.

46 out here this morning and crystal clear... with a SE breeze.    37 and calm at SEA.

Should be a gorgeous Thanksgiving Day.

Clear in Seattle with some very low fog in places... Mt. Rainier is already visible in the pre-dawn hour.

Dropped to 35 here currently 37 with dense fog. This month is going to end up solidly below normal now that the models backed off the warmth projected for today a few days back. We also had a midnight low last night to keep the average even lower. December looks like it’ll have a good start on being below normal too.

Mark Nelsen must be on vacation huh??  Haven't a blog post from him in over a week now.  And I would assume he would chime in on the potential weather pattern change.

I think he's still there he made a podcast a few days ago. Maybe he's waiting for a few more Euro runs or something

I would expect something from him by today or tomorrow at the latest.  I think he's burned out on the blog, IMO.

Yeah I've noticed he hasn't really been posting that much recently

What is their coldest November?

Their coldest this century is most likely 2000. Portland’s is as well. This month has a shot at being the coldest November since then but might not quite edge out 2000. Depends how cold anomalies perform the next week.

Gfs and Cmc both agree on the first trough getting down to -8C roughly around the Seattle area and have for awhile now.

Yep. Here too.

NW flow is often great for my area. Can cause a sea-effect snow band to form in the Strait of Georgia that plows ashore and dumps. Happened between Christmas and New Years last December and led to a snowfall overperformance.
