November 2022 PNW weather Discussion. #NoRidgeNovember

Got down to 36 last night only managed to drop a degree more last night before the rain and clouds moved in and warmed things up a tad. Also woke up to The Weather Channel showing a lot colder temperatures next week. They are even going with 23 Wednesday night! Though I don’t know how much that forecast is based on what the models are showing. I feel like it’s pretty similar to the ensembles at least.

I don’t know if anyone has realized this about the word GooFuS but I think it fits the GFS pretty well for that reason.

One of the most impressive rain shadows I’ve ever seen. 0.02” for Bainbridge Island while much of the rest of Western Washington gets 1-3”.

That low that trended way south into CA still produces good results from the Cascades and east in Oregon on the GEM. Plenty of time for this thing to nudge a bit further north.

This is a like a bad British porno

Oi, up just a bit. Right now come left just a tad. Oh bloody hell now you've gone up too far. Would it be too improper to ask you to slide right and over a smidge?

Ahhh, ya f****ing wanker, now you've gone and done it.

I find it truly astounding that you can waffle more than pancake batter but you have absolutely ZERO qualm about finding and posting the "G"-FS spot.

 Truly Extraordinary!

I just wish the GEM, being a Canadian model, would have some home team loyalty and deliver the goods further north on those maps.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Cue what I wrote a day or two ago about how Bainbridge can get rain-shadowed. Overall, though, it's really not any drier than surrounding areas. Other patterns deliver well for the island and make up for the times it gets shadowed.

The other one showed 24 hour precipitation ending Saturday after much of the precipitation has already passed up here. Unless the models change, from Thursday night until Friday night we have the chance to pick up 2" to maybe even 5" of rain. This is one pattern where I may pick up slightly more rain than you, but it's still going to be ridiculously wet at your house.

I've tried bribing the GEM with a case of Molson, but nothing has happened yet. I can usually persuade the 18z GFS with a half rack of Old Milwaukee and some Power Bait. No big deal.

Even the AR's this season have been strangely shadowed.  It will even out, but it has been slim pickings compared to outside the shadow.   Everett looks to be getting shadowed worse than normal this year also. @bainbridgekid

You'll never get results with that s***

What you ACTUALLY need, is a pound of pure Colombian "bam bam", some 1970's studio 54 hookers and at least one hand rolled joint by the king himself, Willie Nelson.

Try that and report back.

Euro shows about 8” of 34F snow falling during the day on Sunday here. 🧐

Based on the ECMWF... not expecting much of anything here.     Very rainy day on Friday and a cold rainy day on Sunday with maybe some snow mixed at times.    Then it dries out.
