Pretty clear trend to weaken the low and upstream cold air dumping.

ICON seems to be warmer for tomorrow night... appears to show rain for the lowlands while the 12Z run showed snow and heavier precip.

At this rate, it may start snowing tomorrow morning and change over to rain before midnight. Pretty drastic reduction in strength on the latest runs.

I'm somewhere in the donut hole in the south sound.  Looks like maybe a trace of snow followed by some rain, then a trace of snow and some rain and then do it all over again.  Mostly dry for a while though until the low drops south of the area.

Should be an interesting ride for western washington and western oregon though.  Exciting!

If we can have some cold rain to wash out the 2-3 inches, then we won’t have to worry about ice. Fingers crossed.

I’m officially on the board. Must have snowed shortly when I wasn’t looking. Now it’s just awful ice I get to pick at in the morning.7354FF33-6A5B-412B-A653-4D647AAEDE54.thumb.jpeg.b6ce63fb4d3d56e2ef83441b7b6b3169.jpeg

Try filling a sandwich bag with hot tap water and rubbing it on the windows.. A lot easier than scraping and it's kind of fun.

I think late Wednesday night and Thursday might well become the big show in the Seattle area.    That scenario has really taken off today in the models.

Resolution is still too low. Non factor until tomorrow evening.

That swirl along the Central WA/BC border might have something to do with how well the cold/dry air advected into Western Washington today.

In it to win it, spent the last hour getting the driveway and sidewalk cleaned off of today's 3" ish.

cancelled my work trip to houston as to not miss this week. doing that remote now.  will use the flight credit for a trip later in Q1.  it would kill me if I missed a potentially historic event.  hope I didn't jinx it
