Down to 33 now.  43/33 is a pretty cold day for this early.  Might make it 31 by midnight.

I think it's interesting how the blocks aren't pinching off this season.  Usually this crazily amplified stuff pinches off, but this time it's just staying crazy.

Not yet at least, but if they do with the arctic cold entrenched in place, it can lead to amazing winter storms.

This model is of course quite good at showing the most extreme. The sounding for next few frames are amazing. Quite a melting layer on top of well sub-freezing layer. Good thing it’s at this range otherwise we’ll be looking at a significant ice storm.
