Jan 10th/11th Disturbance - Is that snow or middle fingers falling from the sky?

Had a meeting all morning, to my delight this was my view on the way out!  :D Half dollar flakes falling straight down and sticking to everything. Drifting shouldn't be an issue unless the snow dries out this afternoon. Snowmobile trails open at 3pm woo hoo!

Better than nothin..... :)

Yes, ofc and much better than 2" of LES fluff. Funny thing with GRR. They issued this map in the morning and it looks to have been "spot on" for mby, but then issue headlines calling for a fraction of these amounts which busted hard. IWX was and is so much better for here tbh and I take their assessments much more seriously.

Around 5.25" total

You must of gotten some pretty darn good rates...

Highest I've seen in GRR's CWA was 6.5" towards the north end of the CWA around US10. You're basically "up north" at that point though.

Darn meetings screwing up my snowy workday.

Was upgraded to a warning and hour and a half ago! This storm sure surprised me. Was going to be happy with 3.

.UPDATE...
Issued at 152 PM CST Tue Jan 10 2017

Had to expand the warning into Vilas, Wood, and Portage due to
recent reports and continued heavy snowfall.

Man, it felt so good using my snowblower again and clearing out the driveway, sidewalk and heck, I even cleared out my neighbors sidewalks also. Tbh..... , I sometimes over do it with clearing out the area (I really enjoy using my snowblower machine..it rocks). My wife tells me, you might as well, clear out the street too.

Good stuff! Ironically my wife just said 'You sure were out there a long time for only snowblowing 4".'

Yep, I sure was!
