Took a walk over to the beach at lunch cuz it was like mid-summer here in St. Joseph. Even some peeps on the beach getting April rays. SO nice! Figured I'd better get in on it before the flip/crash sets in.. :(

Those are the type of days you def need to soak it all in!  I'm sure it's Spring Fever in St. Joe!  Btw, that place is on my bucket list.  Hopefully this summer.

I don't have any plans on coming back home anytime soon. The weather out hear has been stunning.  It hasn't been to hot which I'm glad but I think that changes in the Week 1-2 range as a big ridge may fire up and usher in our first 100's of the season.

Reports of snow flurries in E IA this morning.

Let's see if this year is another very short period between the Last Flake of Snow vs next seasons First Flake of Snow.  Wasn't there some record short period set in 2013 in the Midwest in terms of Last Flake vs First Flake of the following season???

00z Euro through end of the month...parts of OK/AR/MO looking likely for major flooding...

Starting to look pretty bad for my neighborhood. I'm glad the drought is over but when it rains it literally pours I guess. Lol. I'm also really glad the long term repeating ridging over my area is giving away nicely in the very early part of the warm season. I think this summer is going to be just fine for me.

Yeah, nice wx can really make a huge difference on the "3rd Coast", hopefully you'll scout a good time to check it out. Early September has some of the nicest late summer days, but after Labor Day, the summer vacation flavor is waning, so it gets pretty quiet at the tourist areas. But, I honeymooned in Chicago in July of 2009 and Skilling's forecast for that Saturday was sunny and 80º two days before. Ended up it was 55º and strato-rain all afternoon! Ofc, we've come a long ways in verification accuracy since way back then.. ;)

You'll just have to roll the dice.. :P

The clouds held off a bit longer than expected last night and allowed us to fall to 33 or 34.  More rain is about to move in... expecting about 0.20" from this initial disturbance.

Top-10 (& top shelf) April ftw! :D  Now that's how April's done in my book anyways.  I know 1907 was known in the UP as "the backwards spring" with snow OTG well into May. Um, no thanks.

Edit: I see from GRR's April round-up that Lansing just up the road from Marshall had their 2nd warmest April ever and their records go way back to like 1860 so it's safe to say that Marshall just had about as good an April as we could ever expect around these parts. 2010 was great as well, they both deserve a standing ovation in my book! :D
