Seeing some continued echoes on the Kitsap Peninsula, worth keeping an eye on for areas to the south and west of there, I think.

Could be a flurry fest coming up here we will see the radar looks good for it. Haven’t seen any flakes here in Tacoma since about 10am.

Incredibly enough its been lightly snowing all day here. Was not expecting that.

On days when cold northerly flow starts... the foothills are often socked in because we are protected from the north wind and there can be low level precip that is under the radar beam.     There have been a few flurries here as well but I can also see blue sky now.

Nice to see much of the snow is still on the trees in my neighborhood and didn't fall off and melt so soon like it has frequently done in the past. And there seems to be more snow in my front yard then when I left for work this morning.

More snow hanging on than here but it’s still hanging on the trees and grass well.

The 18z GEFS is jumping on that next possible cold snap for next weekend (not this coming weekend).  The mean dropped from -2.3 on the 0z to -6.7 on the 18z.  Strong signal for that far out.

Decent flurries for the past...9 hours or so. Enough for another 1.5-2"

Wow... that is more than flurries!    We have had zero accumulation here during the day.

Interesting bit of information. Can anyone confirm this?BEB3D6F4-F78D-44CD-8BA2-52267ECC3540.thumb.jpeg.ae42cd0dc2b22eb127920d740510a754.jpeg

There is no way we can confirm that just yet. Really? Winter? When it's "technically" colder or cooler than say May or August. I suppose. We will need a multitude of research conducted consisting of thousands of researchers, scholars, scientists, volunteers, then add at least 2,000 years of data sets, ground core samples, and observations. Most importantly I'll have to read this on the internet before I'll ever believe this and a wacky weather forum is not credible enough for me to do so.

Went for a little walk and it is getting crunchy after a day of drips and drops. Gave myself a snow day and worked from home. Watched kids pulling their sleds down to our local sledding hill as school was cancelled. Just one of those magical days that looks like it is going to finish with a pretty sunset.

Yeah even the mean at SLE is below -6C. Looks like a pretty good pattern for up here potentially. Silver Falls Christmas Celebration is the 10th, so it would be timely to get a little snow.

Finally a nice snow shower. Just in the nick of time as the moisture is about to shut off. I'll measure here in a few minutes, at least 1/2". LOL
