The last few days here

11/28 40/35

11/29 40/31 0.76” 0.7” snow

11/30 41/29 0.60” 1.2” snow

12/1   34/29 0.02” 0.8” snow

Overall things looked very doubtful on Sunday and Monday earlier this week…but they definitely turned around in a big way. Still salvaged some fun weather out of this week and avoided a worst case scenario…and there’s potential for tomorrow!

A simple question(s) and curiosity for those of you that hate your area for snow.  Is there something keeping you from moving to a better location?  Do you plan on doing so?  Where is your ideal spot?

I moved from always living in the valley to over here, and yes, it does snow easier here.  But it also is shadowed a lot and takes the right ingredients for some real good snow ie; upslope flow, etc...

Still, I kind of think it snows just enough here but not too much to where it loses its wonder.  Good balance for me.

It is completely dry. Not even a single flurry this week let alone any accumulating snow-- and this is at a decent elevation too. I have full faith that wraparound event on Sunday will again be a Seattle only event.

You didn't get any flakes on Tuesday morning? We had some moderate snow for a bit but it didn't stick of course

What are the temps looking like overall this weekend on the euro? The euro nailed our high temp of 34 today. Shows 39 for a high Friday…37 Saturday and 34 on Sunday. It’s also increasing our snow chances Sunday.

I still remember Steve Poole standing in front of the updated rain/snow futurecast and giving the same forecast as if the low didn't shift way north, and every progressive one after that.  It was almost comical.

I have a specialized healthcare profession. Seattle pays well and I like the current work environment I am in.  I would love to live somewhere that is quieter, more rural and snowier though.

This one has a shot here.  East wind is only a trickle and it actually helps when it's like that.

I always thought Seattle paid well too, but found that it isn't much different than other smaller cities in the area.  I let that mindset keep me there too long.

Snowmageddon is great but a few rounds of snow that deliver two or three inches total are still fun without all the impacts to daily life.

Educational purposes and still a bit too young to move. I actually *wouldn't* move (I simply think the metro has been very unlucky the past four years) but if I did, I'd live up near Washougal, Bend, or the Issaquah area.

High temps the next 3 days per the 18Z ECMWF... you can definitely see the effect of the precip on Sunday.

I wasn’t here for December 2021 of course but statistically this stretch of weather might end up being a warmer version of it. Besides the bigger snowfall on 12/26…that streak of weather was a lot of small snowfalls. We could end up with 4 separate events out of this potentially…Friday is looking a bit more likely for atleast something. I’m still a bit iffy on Sunday being that it’s ~72 hours out.
