Temp dropped to 35 here and DP 26.

North Bend is at 41 now... we might have some downslope effects out here.

Everything seems to be enhancing at it moves west... I think Tacoma is in a great sport right now based on the radar loop.

Check that, moderate snow now!

Temp: 34.5(Falling), Dewpoint: 28.0 with light snow. It looks like a snow globe outside! Gusty east wind. Ground is now starting to turn white.

That's a really good sign for when the heavier precip makes its way here

Wow... that is pretty impressive given the east wind is still cranking there!

It shows 6 feet of snow at Snoqualmie Pass over the next 10 days.    That would be pretty nice.

But I guess we are now in a situation where any GFS run that does not show 3 feet of snow in Seattle and Portland has to be considered lame.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having some sort of pattern reset with a bunch of snow for the mountains. The 06z GFS showed 160"+ in the North Cascades by the end of the run. While the snowpack is in a decent position right now, it would be nice if it really dumped up there for a week or two before the snow levels lowered again and we went into a cold and dry pattern.

Wind kept the temperature up a bit last night, low of 28F with clouds moving in from the south.

If Goofus doesn’t show at least 3 feet, how are you supposed to score so much as 3 inches?

Hard to tell by the picture, but the clouds to the south sure do look dark and snowy like…If I didn’t have access to anything forecast wise I would be getting super excited right now. Temp down to 25.9

Don't worry, it's raining down here in Seattle.

Radar trends shows indications a deformation band may be developing south of PDX!

Ya, that same band is pivoting right over us now, hence the heavy snowfall.  Looks like it is doing so at just the right trajectory to stay right over me for a while.

Fkin neighbors like usual leaving their cat out in what is now a snow storm with icy east winds. Pisses me off. Not even looking out their front blinds for it.

Cats are tough man, they have awesome insulation.  We have Farrel cats around here and they have zero issues surviving.  But I get your point.

We come from the land of the ice and snow.

Turned to full on snow now. Picking up! Was not expecting it this soon.

Totally dry and windy here.    Your area will probably do better than up here just a few miles away.     I think we have too much downsloping up here.

I’ve had cats all my life and none have ever lived inside. It will be fine.
