Yup, winter is over for everyone west of the Cascades. We had a front loaded winter and now we have to pay for it. Thank you Spokane Tim.

Maybe they will end up splitting the difference and converge on a storm track ideal for Whatcom and the Lower Mainland. 😁

Down to extreme Northern Snohomish Co as well.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Sub 40 high?

Yes, edited the post. We have gotten all the way down to 20F here and widespread teens throughout much of the south valley a couple weeks ago.

Hi temps in the single digits for Reno and Carson City ain't gonna happen. The GFS is really bad with temps lately

Edit. Didn't see that was the Euro. Well now that would be all time record cold.

A week of dry crisp weather sounds nice . Don’t see much raging zonal flow on the horizon.

What is the last time Portland had a sub freezing high, like 2017? Yea, okay ECMWF that is definitely happening next Tuesday.

They strung together three in a row in February 2021. I think that was the last time there, although a lot of spots around the metro area (like here) managed a couple sub freezing highs late last December.

Yeah... that is the problem and why its so warm on Saturday.    ECMWF shows an initial system coming in south on Friday and then that low dissolves in favor of a northern system by Saturday morning.

Seems like the general idea is West of Oregon, but maybe there's hope at hour 84?

Amazingly there’s still about 4” of snow on the ground here and there really hasn’t been much melting yet. This is day 8 of solid snowcover.BCBA6253-8B51-48BF-A64C-6ECEA07049D5.thumb.jpeg.cb893a45d810bdca937351490dae8db7.jpeg

Besides falling off trees we have lost almost no depth. 11 inches still. The snow is very dense and i only had a high of 34 yesterday.
