Then things dried out and bitter subfreezing onshore flow took us to 31F at midnight. Boxing day morning around 4am that powerful Arctic front with 2-4"/hr snowfall rates slammed into my area dumping half a foot in a little over two hours. Spent the rest of the day on either side of 20F with intermittent snow and a bitter NNW wind.
