Not snowing here currently.... but the snow yesterday evening sure flocked the trees nicely going into the cold and dry period coming up.

I love the blue light you get at dusk and dawn when there’s snow on the ground.

It's called clown range for a reason.

The 06Z GFS showed the next significant precipitation here is on December 12th... that it 12 days with almost nothing.    Pretty unusual for early December.    The snow here is going to be around for a long time... until we get a SW wind and rain event.

Dry is nice once you have snow on the ground.

Radar shows a nice band moving north from Puyallup into E King. Hope it can hold together!

06z Euro still shows snow for western OR on Sunday. Not much juice but this comes from the same low that slides by to the south on Friday, some precip wraps back up north by Sunday. By this point the low is down by CA and fairly weak so I wouldn't expect too much moisture from this if it happens.

That is some strong offshore flow on the 12Z GFS this weekend... very low dewpoints ahead.

With any snow Friday Night this could be a very period with snow on ground for a long time

That big shower is going to be a close call for this area.  The more steady stuff has stayed a bit west for the most part.  Great day for Tacoma.

This has your area written all over it.  I think it might link up with the area of steady precip just to the west.

Especially with that dense base of wet snow you got.

The snow on Tuesday night was dense here as well... it was unusually tough for the snowblower to throw it and it kept getting clogged.

probably going to to get dry on the eastside for awhile, maybe something later next week.  Cold and Dry.  Hoping for some clear nights at least for temps to plummet

Nothing here but a light frost. Glad I stayed up to watch the Tuesday night slush, hope that’s not the only snow of the season.

Had some flakes in the air earlier but nothing sticking yet. Down to 35 which is the low for the day so far. Heading down toward Corvallis today so should be an interesting drive at very least.

Ended November with a 46/38 day yesterday. PDX put up an absolutely pathetic 49/41.

Speaking of PDX, looks like they managed to get over 5” of rain for November, just a little shy of average despite the lengthy cool and dry period much of the month.

I'm glad you had that problem too. I thought it was my blower but the snow was like concrete. I was going to message you and ask how yours was working.

Be awesome if everyone got a few inches Friday night before heading into the cool dry spell

I would really love a freshen up, not quite enough snow on the ground yet to soothe my soul going into a dry period. C’MON!!!

Would be nice if some moisture could work it’s way in here. Seems like there has been a permanent area of showers to the NW of the Portland area that mostly hasn’t budged since yesterday afternoon.

Yeah... I was sure my snowblower was having issues but it worked fine last night on the lighter snow that fell in the evening.

O the snow, the beautiful snow!
Filling the sky and the earth below!
Over the house-tops, over the street,
Over the heads of the people you meet,
Dancing, Flirting, Skimming along.
Beautiful snow! it can do nothing wrong.
