Definitely worried about precip-- still solidly snow but I'm not sure how dynamic things are to our south at the moment.

Yeah, don't see much on the radar to be impressed with. Enjoy it while we can! Down to 34 and some beautiful flakes.

In a set up like this things can sometimes reform in the same place for a long time, where the band decides to park.

Most of the development has been modeled to occur pretty much directly over the Portland area. There's not going to be much pushing up from south of there.

I have a strong memory from when I was about 9-10 years old, it was snowing and the flakes looked like ❄️ . They looked like the snowflakes you cut from paper. I have never experienced it again, but would really really like to. Had to of been between 91-93.

Its really coming down at a good clip now. This pleases me greatly!

When I know we are getting cold snow in the mid 20's I like to put a cookie sheet in the freezer then when it begins to snow put the cookie sheet out side and the cold metal captures the snow flakes perfectly.  If you want to take a photo of a snow flake this is a good way to do it.

Been switching between sleet and snow before the heavier stuff finally arrived. Looks like it’s here now phat flakes.

Remember yesterday you said it would be to warm! That dewpoint can never be overlooked.  You're doing good down there this last week.

Lol sometimes I’m not as optimistic in these situations so I don’t let myself down! Better to be surprised then disappointed when it doesn’t go your way. This should be a fun afternoon but it may be a tough road to get to accumulating snowfall still. Even if it doesn’t been an awesome week!

Still a very wet mix here. Might be a little too close to the water for it to work out today.
