Sleet has switched over to mostly snow with a light dusting. 33 degrees and snow swirling around. Very wintry day.

Way too much +NAO on the 12z GFS verbatim. Doesn’t have to be crazy, but you’d need at least some degree of downstream blocking to trap the cold in western Canada/force it south, instead of letting it slide into eastern Canada.

All we need are the Euro/GEM and GFS to meet in the middle.
