Druncle must have killed 2/5ths of vodka this morning or something 2 feet in places in the Florida panhandle WTF?! Obviously not going to happen but the fact it’s even spitting something out as ridiculous as this.

Dumping huge wet flakes here in Everett. Video doesn’t do it justice but it’s really coming down hard.

Good signal on the 12z EPS for a longish period of below normal temps in the mid to long range. Obviously details are still up in the air at this point.

I’d like to see more really cold members, but that’s the kind of signal we were seeing prior to February 2019.

Still a lot of solidly cold ensemble members, but I would like to see it pull east again on the next run.  Chances are it will.

Wind is light NE here and still only 34.  Remarkably cold day for January in the 21st century.

Looks like its coming in south of what the ECMWF showed.   Back edge of precip moving quickly through King County now.

No doubt it's south of expectations.  It had south winds extending much further north than reality near the coast.

Personally I’d rather it go a little west than east. We can still score up here with the cold onshore flow, whereas if it goes east things likely remain dry.

Up here a little west is terrible in most cases.  I would rather have cold and dry than chilly rain.

The ECMWF was really wrong on this.  It had gusty south winds around OLM now and in reality they have east winds.

Just reading up on Republic WA.  Nice setting, reasonable sized town, cheap real estate, great climate, and the area has cranked out an impressive 8 million ounces of gold over the years!

Almost 18z time! I hope our favorite Uncle is absolutely hammered, then goes to the convenience store buying 2 cases of beer only to be pulled over blowing a .49 during the breathalyzer test. He then miserably fails the other tests. Uncle begins yet another journey to AA, only to see him really fall off the wagon with one massively cold and snowy run after another. Multiple feet of snow and temps below zero. That's the Uncle I remember. C'MON!!!!

We had enough chilly and dry in November and December. Won’t complain if it happens, but I’m not itching for it.

I also found out Republic is the second highest town in the State of WA.  Just slightly lower than Waterville.

It is my favorite small town in the state. Hidden in the mountains. It takes me 45 minutes to get there from my cabin. It is a very livable town. Has a nice grocery store, and very nice hardware store, a napa auto parts and a few good restaurants. It looks like a old mining town you'd see in Montana.  Great hunting and fishing area as well. If I had to start over I would of picked that town and area over where I'm at now in Chesaw. There is a TON of mining history in Chesaw though as well and a bunch of old mining buildings which is very very neat. You would have to see it in person to appreciate it Jim.

I'll have to get over there soon and take a look around.  Mining is a big deal to me.  I've dabbled in hard rock for many years.  Nothing like turning a bucket of rocks into a "button" of gold!
