It takes me 45 minutes to get there from my cabin. It is a very livable town. Has a nice grocery store, and very nice hardware store, a napa auto parts and a few good restaurants. It looks like a old mining town you'd see in Montana. Great hunting and fishing area as well. If I had to start over I would of picked that town and area over where I'm at now in Chesaw. There is a TON of mining history in Chesaw though as well and a bunch of old mining buildings which is very very neat. You would have to see it in person to appreciate it Jim. There’s definitely something really likable about Republic. 3 Quote My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.
MR.SNOWMIZER
6 minutes ago, snow_wizard said: I also found out Republic is the second highest town in the State of WA. Just slightly lower than Waterville. No way man. Chesaw is 3200ft. It is a town, has a bar, gas station, mercantile, a store, fire hall. Molson used to be the highest I think at 3700 ft. Just a ghost town now though. I guess it depends what you consider a town. Incorporated or whatever. If the town has a gas station a grocery store a mercantile or a hardware store a bar or tavern and a fire hall it is a small town in my book. 3 Quote We come from the land of the ice and snow. MossMan
Snowed earlier at the house for a little bit, started sticking a little to the bark beds before turning to rain according to my wife. I was up in Mt Vernon. Had 5 minutes of mixed precip there before turning to cold rain. I asked my wife if she took pics of the snow, she said she wasn’t going to clog up her phone with wet slush pictures. Anyway, home now and the sun is peeking out, has gotten breezy, and 37 degrees. .10” so far on the day.
