My hummingbirds have been feeding heavily the last few days.

Maybe they know something is coming?

My bird feeder went abandoned for several weeks back to major action just like how popular it was about a week and a half before the December festivities.

Down to 36F and dropping. It was sunny and not too cold when we left (even at 38F about 3 hours ago). I made my son bring a coat even though he said it wasn't needed and I agreed for that moment in time). Now it is dark and thick cloud layers to our west. I don't think we'll get much here but it has that snow feel. You know where the skies are very gray with an icy wind even when it is above freezing.

We went window shopping in Idaho as our window broke when we were removing the ac unit at the end of summer. It's making energy a bit higher but want it fixed before the smoke season.

I think this puts me around 34 inches for the season. Depending on what happens in February this winter might make a run for my top 3 winter snow totals.

Just ahead of us here. Shawnigan lake is officially at 33.3”.  No where near a top 3 winter at this point though.

We’ve got the .3 taken care of here. Just need to top it off with the 33 now.

It’s coming! Just sure to steer clear of the port-a-potties when those Fraser winds blast down the sound at the end of the month!

It really stays coolish throughout. Plenty of GOA blocking. Opportunities will abound.
