12Z GFS shows no snow for the Puget Sound area (of course) and high temps around 40 in Seattle for Sunday - Tuesday... 850mb temp bottoms out around -7C or -8C on this run.

Also took away that little overrunning event for Tuesday that the 00Z run showed.

Solidly chilly start to February. Not quite sure what people were expecting, but February looks to start cool.

Wow this turned into a massive dud. At least it will be dry for a few days.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Even that is not a lock... there is southerly flow and its warming up by time February starts.    Probably still a little cooler than normal though.    This "event" happens in January.

Gem has a decent snow event for BC and whatcom county middle of next week. 🔐

Quick hitter... just a standard trough rolling through so it surprising to see lowland snow.

Pretty much borderline non-event status. A couple 35/25 days with no snow. Sucks especially for Portland it looked like you guys atleast had a chance at snow. Never looked like we had a good shot at snow up here.

Reminiscent of the great January 2013 cold spell.

We’ve been blessed here. Tons o’ gunk but it’s been elevated and the low levels have been oddly dry. January.

I'd even take the drizzle. The cloudy, milquetoast drabby nothingness of the last 10 days has been kinda excruciating. If nothing else I'm super excited for it to clear out finally for a whole 48 hours. Regardless of the devastating trendz.

Sunday and Monday should be gorgeous, although I’ll probably run the misters on the patio to keep the drizzle dream alive. Might make for some fun ice accretions if we drop below 32 degrees Fahrenheit at some point.

Question for the brainiacs....I read a lot about the low over Baffin Island. It's showing pretty strong on all the model runs lately. As long as it's there we're kinda screwed for snow and stuff, right?

It’s probably not ideal but we would still do okay if we saw a block push up into Alaska and stay in place longer than 24hrs.

AQI remaining moderate at 54 in Seattle... A good reminder that wildfire smoke is not the only source of PM 2.5.

Thankfully this will be going away very soon.

Lately it seems these events trend colder right at the end of the lead up... this one is the opposite.   Yesterday morning the ECMWF showed -10C over SEA on Monday morning and on the new 12Z run its at -5C at the same time.

850mb temp bottoms out around -7C or -8C over SEA on Sunday morning.
