I gave up on it after I realized I was getting too hung up on it.

Upon further investigation I think an SSW would be helpful for us.  Too long winded to go into what changed my mind.

Looks like North Bend 😂

I am in NB right now... not quite as green here!    But I do see some blue sky and always the most expensive gas around.

Do they have home made pot pies or are they pre packaged?

They’re premade in the deli and astonishingly good. Almost good enough to distract from the fact we’re stuck in a +EPO wasteland.

Yup it’s getting really bad in the Alps right now. Couldn’t imagine the Cascades looking like this. This winter is crap.

For all we bittch about rain at ski resort level, Cascade Concrete, etc. PNW skiers, at least north of Crater Lake, often forget how good they have it.

A bad year at Baker and Crystal would be a decent to good year by many places' standards!

What was the brand of the pot pies back in the day? Swanson?? The little frozen ones.

Not here. 😞

good new is that we have internet again! If anyone that has Starlink and gets this message on their app and you’re not getting any internet…It’s 99.4% your cord that runs from the dish to the router that is the issue. This is cord number 3 since September for us and it has become a huge problem for a lot of Starlink users lately as so many posters in the Starlink FB groups are also having. Moisture gets into the connection and fries the cord. I did a temporary goofy fix with part of a water bottle to divert the water around the connection until I can come up with something nicer looking. We also have a backup cord and router coming so we don’t have to be down for two weeks again if it happens again. Also got a UPS since power surges are also an issue for the routers apparently.

We've been having minor disconnect issues, but not a FULL "offline" disconnect. Just blips long enough to kick us out of a game server, or a Discord call. It's irritating, and apparently a wide spread issue. After factory resetting, rebooting, adjusting the dish, it's been stable this afternoon, but now shows a random, perfectly red square "obstruction" on the app. It's in the middle of the sky! There's no obstruction! lol

The ECMWF shows the next few nights will have decent amounts of clearing.  Maybe even some frost for some lucky folks!  Maybe this won't be quite as warm as it had previously appeared.

My wife used to be a grocery snob but with how prices have just gone insane she now does most of our shopping at Grocery Outlet instead of the Skagit Valley Food Co Op. We get our organic produce from Klesick Farm in Stanwood, they deliver a box to us each week and that is still cheaper than the Co Op.    Thought it was funny when she asked why we spent so much for gas in November but December was more reasonable again…I had to remind her that we used 25 gallons of gas for the generator.

Not much mountain snow left down there.

That is exposed Mt. Si and is not representative of Cascade snowpack.   That face of the mountain is bare most of the winter every year unless it recently snowed.

Looks like you'd need to go deep into Russia to see any snow now, based on the Satellite. I thought that was unusual but looking at previous years Eastern Europe is frequently snowless at this time of year:

The upper Alps still seem to be doing ok for snow:

It must be super steep and exposed. It's an interesting microclimate that even the elevated treed area where you'd expect less of a slope and more shade still doesn't have snow outside of the gullies. Have you ever hiked up there in the winter?
