Low of 30! Been a long time since it has been that cold! The Fuzzy looks better! Oh and my section of grass that cooks in the summer is now looking better! Minus the moles.

We will see where early February takes us. At the very least a seasonably cool pattern seems likely…but will we see something like 2018 or 2014? I’ve been thinking something like February 2018 for awhile now but we will see. I don’t sense arctic air or anything extreme still.

So I was talking to my boss about where he gets his weather info and I told him about my meteorological hobby. Our job is very influenced by the weather being a storm water filtration company. He wants me to give him weather forecasts for our sites as part of my job 2 times a week. I’m thinking I want to get a subscription to pivotal or weatherbell…which one would you guys recommend?

Weatherbell has its flaws but it is hard to beat…..

I would ask for the one which culminated in my payraise.

I would take 2018 WAY over 2014…And the pics explain why!

But it’s coming…And it’s going to blow 2014, 2018, 19, 21, 22 away!!

I expect I’ll probably get a raise with the quarterly review but we will see. I’ve been busting my a** working 50+ hours a week the last couple months. I get paid 1 hours pay for each report…which is really cool because it’s something I just do for fun on my own anyways and it’ll literally take me 15 minutes to do probably 😂

Lol I told him he actually didn’t need to pay me off the bat just to see how accurate I am to start off but he insisted that I get paid for it. I didn’t even suggest getting paid for it at all just to give them the info and he said he would pay me to do it so he doesn’t have to spend time looking for himself.

Visible satellite shows generally clear skies from Bellingham to Olympia with just some high thin clouds... while Portland southward is socked in with low clouds.

In your next weather report to your boss…Just say “It’s coming” and slowly turn and walk away.

Congrats on the new job! I've been interviewing for several new work opportunities. Might be headed to SE Alaska this spring for the summer!

Salmon /crab fishing? I know several different people in WA that do it every year as a tradition. They go to Alaska and work at a cannery or a seafood boat and make more money in two months than they do the rest of the year.

Up to 37F after a low of 34F.  Nothing but sunshine and blue sky out there this morning, but sort of that low-angle sunshine.  It's not particularly bright and blue.  More of a shade of blue.

Forecast is looking pretty uninteresting and not much rain. :(

12Z ECMWF shows temps falling into the mid 30s early tomorrow afternoon with the initial band of precip from the next system... then the SW comes roaring into the Seattle area by mid afternoon and the temp jumps back into the low 40s.    Going to be an active day.

NWS should put out a statement regarding lowland snow potential followed immediately by windstorm potential for the Seattle area for tomorrow.    It's going to be a pretty crazy day.

I feel like this forum could collectively run a business that provides customized weather forecasts like this. The amount of model-watching and local weather knowledge on here is staggering.

12Z ECMWF shows the SW wind gusting to 50 mph in Seattle by late afternoon.

I'm skeptical. Last time it showed big gusts, they didn't verify, and last time we had big gusts, it didn't predict them.
