February Weather in the Pacific Northwest

Had about a half inch flurry here earlier but I missed it while being in Edmonds. The radar and satellite views not looking too juicy so don't expect anything until the next low drops through. Temp now at today's high of 33F.

Just got home and my temp is 33 as well but DP’s must still be in the 20’s since no melting is happening.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

You might want to check your equipment. DP is 27 in EUG and 26 down in Brookings.

All of the stations here from Dallas to Corvallis and over to Albany have a dp of 30 and temps about 40

Drove up to Mt. Scott earlier. Still lots of snow at 1,000 feet. I'm guessing they got 8" to 10" between Tuesday and Wednesday night. Even the lower slope just north of Mt. Scott has a couple inches of snow on the ground with trees still flocked. This is around 250' basically in the flats of SE Portland. Makes a big difference having a hill to your south blocking that late February sunshine.

I went for a drive out to Amboy today and was impressed at how much they still had at only 400'. Easily still 4-5" around town, with 6-8" in the 1000' hills immediately outside. Amboy is nestled in a small valley with hills all around it, so sun and south wind have a hard time impacting them.

Go to Weather.us and look, you don't need someone else to post it, it is free there!  Here is a link, simply look at hour 120 and hour 240.  It will not be as snowfall in inches, but as the amount of precip falling as snow, so multiply by 10 to get a good estimate.

Thanks! Didn't know they had free snow maps. Bookmarked.

Worth noting that this is the 4th consecutive day with measurable snowfall at PDX. Only later occurrence was the epic 8 day run from March 3-10, 1951. We just bumped past Feb. 18-21, 1993 for 2nd latest spot.

Wouldn't it be something if this pattern continued and we made a run at that March stat?

Looks like a thin dusting on my driveway via the security camera.

83 insanely beautiful degrees at my location with a mai tai in hand.

Some beach... somewhere. :)

Arlington (KAWO) reporting light rain and 34F. Didn’t expect that.

Can’t image that as being accurate, was all snowflakes here when it stopped a few minutes ago with those few snowflakes still sitting on my truck.
