Let's keep our temps down on Thursday and prep for what will hopefully be a big event this weekend!

Good news is that latest models have us only getting near the freezing mark vs. upper 30s.

Looking at radar and hi-res modeling seems heavier banding of snow will be farther north and at least through Chi Metro if not further north. Some areas could be in for a surprise when it's all said and done.

Sure does Tony and its looking a lot better than I was expecting it would.  First flakes are already flying ahead of schedule.

Finished with 1/2" here.

Up to about 19" on the season so far.

Nickel and diming my way to the 35" seasonal avg.

Radar shows another decent burst of snow moving into your area.

Just measured exactly 1.5" of fresh powda and with some pretty heavy returns over my head I'm expecting to tack on another couple tenths.  Huge fatty flakes falling ATM.  This stuff is very high ratio, probably close to 20:1.

M1.6 of densely packed tiny flakes during a lull around 6 am, then I see another nice blob popped-up on radar and moved across Calhoun cnty since I left for work. Likely made at least a solid 2". Best of this ran along just S and E of mby up to the snow magnet zone of Detroit.

Closing in on 7" since Sunday for Marshall. Now across SWMI is a solid 6-12" snow pack heading into the exciting period  :)

IF there's even a hint of road salt residue like on your driveway tracked in from the street, it'll melt instantly. I'm hoping for warmer temps during the next snow. These

Snowblowers usually tend to work better in powdery snow, rather than high water content snowfall. Therefore, I prefer "Powda". ;) :D

Was your forecast 1-2? Seems like i picked up more than some did down south. Opposite of the forecast.

A couple days before, 1-1.5" was possible, but models backed off as it approached.  One run of the NAM removed all snow, so I'll take 0.6".

season snowfall: 34.8"

'22-23: 30.2"      '21-22: 27.1"      '20-21: 52.5"      '19-20: 36.2"      '18-19: 50.2"      '17-18: 39.5"

Average snowfall: ~30"
