This place is dry slot heaven. Going to curtail the ending of snow a bit early I think. DTW had an hourly Vis obs of <700 ft

Macomb looks like it will avoid the dry slot, thankfully. Detroit looks like its filling up again. Everything outside looks so beautiful. Deep snow as well.

Just took a snow depth measurement and here in my yard there is now 2" of snow on the ground. The roads are mostly wet with some slush on the side roads. The current temperature here is 31 with light to almost moderate snow falling. To the east at Detroit and Ann Arbor were heavy snow is being reported their temperatures are in the 32 to 35° range. So not sure how much snow will stick in that area.

The main surface roads at my office here in Livonia have mostly not accumulated due to the 33F temps and I presume a fair amount of road salting. Leaving for home soon so I will see firsthand what other roads and streets are like.

Thx! Looks like DTX's updated map that expanded the Warning a county or two west verified pretty well in the 6-8" dept. I saw an unofficial report that Canton scored 8.1" with numerous reports SW of me in the 7"+ category. Will wait to see the NWS map and reports listing. Sure is nice out there. I thought the snow on the trees was impressive Sunday, but this 2X that and with temps actually dropping overnight it's going to remain a while. All smiles on this one regardless of the 40F torching yesterday and other things. This one came through bigly for mby!

Just finished using my snowblower and shovel. Some neighbors out there as well. Very decent snowstorm. Temps are now below freezing and falling into the 20s tanite. Tomorrow I will post pics of the scenery. The trees are absolutely gorgeous as @jaster220mentioned. January has arrived!!! Better late than never I suppose.

ORD officially had 3.6" yesterday but there was a decent amount of melting, however, I woke up to a fresh new coating of snow this morning.  Should add some additional accumulations throughout the day today and then tomorrow.  Hopefully enough to make up for the melting!

Measured an additional 0.9" since last night and should bump up ORD's total later today.  My 2-day total is 4.5"...maybe some more lighter snows later this afternoon.  The fresh layer of powder makes the scenery much more pleasant to look at instead of the slop from yesterday.

A bit more light snow last night boosted my storm total to 1.0".  That's lower than all models.

season snowfall: 34.8"

'22-23: 30.2"      '21-22: 27.1"      '20-21: 52.5"      '19-20: 36.2"      '18-19: 50.2"      '17-18: 39.5"

Average snowfall: ~30"

LOL, I saw that plume and forgot to post on it. Classic Allegan Cnty 10-12" streamer right there! In a good winter, that place will be more like NMI between synoptic and LES hits. My kids went to school there and I remember going for Parent-Teacher meetings in 07-08 when that region had a 160" season.
