Enjoyed a snow day today. I'll remind you that the foot from a week ago was gone. This is all new snow. I think that this was the 2nd 20"+ storm in my 40 year lifetime. This storm had it all. Duration

Fully sampled doesn't mean agreement anymore, it means nothing lol..every model can have a different outcome still. im not buying anything until late tomorrow night

Craig, when did I say fully sampled means model agreement? I made a general statement about sampling. Get a grip. The GFS doesn’t give you snow. Get over it.

Great, so when you complain next winter if your getting missed I'll say get a grip man, you got hit with nearly every snowstorm last winter. I don't want to ever hear you complain again.  You people up north are bullies and you don't know how good you got it if your a snowbird. 

 

And I'll add one more thing, If you say your happy to see others get some good snow, your lying. I'll be the first to admit it, I hate it and I don't like it. I'm greedy when it comes to my snow. You don't like what I have to say? Too bad.

God D**n dude it’s fricken April 12th. It’s not the end of the world if it misses you. It will be gone in a couple days anyways

In other news, I'm more interested in the severe side of things and that SW IA target is looking nice. Sadly, I cant be there. But oohhh boy did the 00z NAM up the ante across the entire warm sector.

Bullies? They have seemed pretty reasonable in this thread to me. I'm a pretty big complainer myself, but at least I'm man enough to admit that it's really not worth complaining about. Seriously, as someone who lives here with you, get a grip. You push the best model solutions until we get nothing to an inch and you get bent out of shape when people call you out. You have no right to call them bullies in this instance. Like money said, it's April 12th. It's a godsend that we're getting snow in the first place. I want a big storm too but it'll be gone Sunday either way.

It's Friday the 13th, good luck to those from NE up into MN/WI who are about to get hit by a historic April Blizzard!  Unlike Craig, when I say "good luck", I really mean it...sorry Craig, but you need to take it easy.  Like I've said before, if you don't like the wx, do something about it and don't complain or get jealous bc someone is getting smashed.  Channel positive energy instead of seeding negative into ones mind.  Embrace the fact that nature is doing what nature does.  It's mid April and summer is around the corner.  BTW, you may have your last chance of the year coming the following weekend.  This storm has been on my calendar.  We'll see how that one evolves.

On phone so I can't like- but very well stated Tom!! I just marvel at the idea of tornadoes maybe this PM and snow right behind it. Nov 15' (edit) DSM airport reported a tornado and snow within 12 hrs of each!!!

I remember that day!  Check out the 06z NAM...severe storms later this afternoon feeding into the cold sector around MSP...#thundersnow...

      First of all, that article was about more than just the lunch issue - they're trying to pass laws to reduce workers' compensation when injured on the job and reducing unemployment. Second, how does telling people who work they don't need a lunch break being on the side of the worker, as you like to claim to be? The people who wanted the LA law changed were the rich fat cats you sh*t on in previous (and I'm sure future) posts. See what you say about Tim. See what you said about my aunt.       April 2024 Weather in the PNW

      Cloud seeding is a form of public relations to say “at least we’re trying” to end droughts. Throwing some silver iodide in a cloud isn’t going to do anything to a storm that is large enough to produce appreciable precipitation. It might cause a few sprinkles from a cumulus cloud that otherwise wouldn’t have rained. There are also legal ramifications since it had been argued that cloud seeding is a form of theft — you are stealing the water from areas downstream of where you seeded. The ironic thing is that project Stormfury got axed in the late 60s after they seeded a hurricane and it happened to make a left turn to the Eastern seaboard shortly thereafter. It would be funny if this makes them think twice about seeding in the UAE, although it’s a bummer that they didn’t seed this storm (or at least they claim to have not seeded it LOL).
