Aannnd the wind is back. Any idea when the last blizzard Warning was for the metro proper? If my memory serves me, it’s been quite some time.

The wind is back and now I’ve heard thunder several times. I’ll see if I can find the last time MSP had a blizzard warning. It’s been a long time. Was the metrodome buster a blizzard? I was living in Chicago at the time.

Wow. MSP International is completely shut down. Nothing in or out, tons of diversions. I don't recall the last time that happened.

Shut down until at least 7pm. That’s pretty incredible considering the snow removal equip on site.

We're about to get the steadiest stream of moderate snow we've gotten all season. Main reason for that is because most of the heavier snow we've gotten this year has come in fast-moving squalls.

I'm on the Southeast side so all I have is flurries so far. Shows how slow this thing is moving. May as well be stalling.

I’m not sure. If I had to guess, i’d say yes. Very intense band moving through right now. Lightning, wind and the heaviest snow I’ve seen yet. Easily 2”/hr I’d estimate.

This is the first time I've ever said this. I like where we're at in Lincoln. Nice training defo band to work with, looks like at least 2 or 3 hours of near-blizzard conditions.

This will definitely go down as one of the best I’ve seen. The intensity and longevity are amazing. We’re getting at least 1.5”/hr right now.

I was just watching the local news. The local meteorologist was talking with the NWS to get an answer as to when the last time the entire metro area was included in a blizzard warning. Apparently even the NWS doesn't have a record of this. He said it MAY have been the Halloween blizzard of '91(!) but they aren't positive. The NWS is going through records to try and find out a definitive answer. WOW!

Meh. Pretty light stuff. There’s been some very brief bursts but nothing too impressive. Grass has a coating but streets are mainly wet with some slick spots. Not covered in any snow though

I've picked up 0.31" of rain so far, all from light rain showers.  There have been no downpours and no thunder.  Overall, except for the strong wind, this has been rather underwhelming here.
