July 2018 Weather in the Pacific Northwest

Recommended Posts

I get what TT SEA is saying. It has been the same here. We haven’t had the driest MJJ here in north Seattle either. It has been dry but not nearly as dry as past years. Even today has been misty the entire day and everything is wet. Most yards are still green here but that is just a small area due to consistent patterns and convergence. It dumped rain two weeks ago but was only picked up on some local accuweather stations and rained a few days ago but again wasn’t picked up on any major stations.

Wow. Looks like a win for subjectivity.

It has been cloudy and has rained on some days here in MJJ as well. Drier than average but not 100% dry. Drought cancel?

I hope at some level you realize how irrational this is.

We had over 7 inches of rain in May and June spread out evenly with lots of cloudy days. Call that cripplimg drought if you want. Grass was growing so fast we could not keep up with it... and yet it was drier than normal.

How does that compare to your area?

Quite a different experience here under that red on the map.

And waaaaaaaaaaaaay greener and wetter than when we had real drought here in MMJ of 2015.

You started this discussion by mocking our reports of what is happening in our area. We did not say it applied to the entire region.

I would love 2 or 3 days of region wide soaking rain.

I know you would. I'm giving you a hard time.

The 2nd half of April was extremely dry.

We had 14 inches of rain here from 4/1 - 4/17 and just over an inch from 4/18 - 4/30.

Also had half a foot of snow in April.
