This snow shadow is always a bummer for my location. I am in the Port Angeles foothills at 1000' and will be riding the edge of this precip line. Should be cold enough for snow most of the week, just need to get lucky and not get shadowed. Historically, I end up with very little in this setup.

For another 1-2 hours in western OR.    Western WA is being blasted by the SSW wind and the main front is through by 5 a.m.

Here is snow through 10 a.m.

I am pretty convinced this will not have accumulating snow south of PDX. Clark County might do okay, I think even up here it may start as rain and quickly transition to snow.

The rain to rain transition is always a tricky call. 😂

That one has the potential to be pretty big down here. Those #'s in Eugene and SLE are probably overdone, but its a situation where valley locales could see 1-3" of wet snow that melts by noon.

Central Oregon looks ridiculously cold today.

Not too bad. I’m sitting at 13 right now on our way to 25 or so. Will be another chilly one tonight though with a low of about 9. Was 4 this morning when I woke up. Has been snowing and or flurrying for 30 hours straight now. 3” on the ground with a lot of drifts everywhere. Wind hasn’t let up.

Ahh. Lot of south wind potential there.

Salem had several inches of snow with south winds gusting to about 30mph the other day.
