Looks like snow is really starting to accumulate over towards PDX and east of the Willamette River and north of HWY 26. So a large part of the PDX metro.

Radar shows a lot of blue over me and from Lebanon, Salem and north and east to Sandy including PDX  and Gresham but not doing anything here.  Temp is bouncing between 39-40.  Still getting a little southerly drift.  It's killing me.  I might moderate a degree or two being along the creek but still too warm yet for anything.

The best dynamics have trended north in the models over the past day or 2. It originally looked like the bullseye would be more Malahat to Nanaimo.  Now it’s more Ladysmith to Qualicum.  We’ll have to see what transpires here more south, late this afternoon and this evening, as a little more moisture lifts north and things possible destabilize a bit.

I kind of figured this would happen, Nanaimo's a snow magnet. They've often get hit even in the dry blasts like Jan 2017 or Feb 2018. Hopefully some of that moisture can break through the outflow. Clouds are a bit thicker here now and I noticed a few small flakes making it to the surface. Looks like nearly 6" up at my parent's place in Nanoose

Makes me nauseous!! No dripping here thankfully! Temp is 33.1 degrees with a DP  of 28! Trees are still caked! The snow has evaporated from the roads it looks like though.

Dewpoint is low here so not much is really melting off the ground.    And the shaded sides of the trees still perfectly caked in snow.

That band over PDX is pretty impressive.

It’s starting to snow here now. And temps are dropping with an increasing NNE wind. Temps have dropped through the 30s.

29.5F with a steady light blowing snow.

Seems like someone in Washington County will get nailed-- just the question of where that enhancement takes place and when.

Just did the drive home - wasn't TOO worried but better to not risk a Sylvan Hill Thunderdome if you don't have to. Was all chunky rain in washington county. Sylvan Hill was snowing pretty good. Downtown mostly slushy roads. Across the river and home now where there's a mix that is currently mostly snow. Grass starting to get covered.

Definitely some of the heaviest snow I've seen here since February 2019.

Light snow reported at JBLM now. Precip hasn’t quite made it up to Tacoma yet…but during peak daytime heating probably better it holds off anyhow.

GFS shows an inch at PDX Sunday morning (low 40s by afternoon FYI), no real accumulations below 1000' south of PDX, though it shows 5" up here. Front moves through very quickly, and we are quickly into a cool airmass with clearing and lows into the 20s Sunday night.

A regional blessing all the way down to southern CA. You can see the blue skies disappear in the central sound too as the band tries to creep north. Quite dynamic looking over NW OR.

Been snowing hard for the last hour or more. About 3.5-4” now depending on where you measure. Some of the best afternoon stickage I’ve ever seen this late in the season. Light east wind. Down to 32.

With how radar looks I wouldn’t be surprised if you almost doubled your total of what you have right now.

We may get echoes over Tacoma soon…but the models that do show accumulating snowfall indicate any meaningful precip rates would hold off until after dark. Really good scenario if it works out that way.

I think 1/2”-1” is possible from Seattle south and a bit more towards Olympia. I’m thinking more like 1/2” IMBY realistically…but we will see. Odds definitely seem to drop off north of sea-tac. Radar looks promising for the south sound right now.
