Not much has changed here. Been staring down the barrel of 0-1" for a day now. The snow maps are lying a bit showing phantom snow at the valley floor today/wed. GRAF keeps upping the ante tho. 06z had us at 5.1". Go GRAF go!

I think 1-3" is probably reasonable here.

Andrew has gone full weenie mode despite the fact it’ll still be a good event in his back yard…and plenty of people will have fun down there over the coming week.

I feel like if the US put half as much effort into their weather models as he has into sh*tposting this last week the GFS would beat the Euro within a few months.

For real. The idea that there has been some horrible trend in the last day is nonsense. I’m sure many of the long term posters know what Andrew is doing, but I’m just making sure others do as well. Andrew is being overly dramatic as not much has actually changed in the models.

It was always a close call for significant snow and it still is. There are still different scenarios possible for what area gets some lowland snow and we will just have to wait for tomorrow to see what actually happens now.

You know, getting snow in late February  is pretty rare here. But on my 18th birthday as well? Score! I only wish for two inches of snow tomorrow, which is doable. Not many people can say they got a snowstorm on their 18th birthday.

That would definitely be an awesome 18th for future memories. Happy birthday and I hope we all get some snow tomorrow!

I’m in the blue!

P.S. Although it’s mild this morning it’s blustery. On the radio they said it felt like there’s a whiff of change in the air. It does! It’s coming.

I was in the blue on the 6z GFS just hours ago…Still hoping for an over performance.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I’m not necessarily expecting that much snow in the early phases when the front rolls in, but in recent days the vast preponderance of model runs have shown flurries IMBY. And the cold is of course a sure thing. So it’s safe to say cold and snow is coming. The open question is how much snow. Best opportunities this far north happen late in the week or on the weekend, still clown range. We shall see.

But I will be very surprised if this blast it totally dry and snow-free IMBY.

It's called clown range for a reason.

When does this cz happen on the model? Would be weird to have another southern convergence zone but I will take it!
