Snow is picking up here again.

Snow is sticking in the South Salem Hills above about 400-500'.

That offshore flow needs to get over here quick. Up to 37F even at 1400 ft in the Coast Range. 

Hopefully that cold air running into this low will produce some good explosive results.

18z HRRR has snow rotating into PDX Metro through at least 10am tomorrow morning.

Hit 38 in Tacoma a bit ago briefly down to 37 now. Precip getting closer as well. Hopefully by the time I slog through traffic and get home this evening the snows starting up.

This is fairly good-- if the EURO and GRAF among others to be believed this intense battleground between the offshores and the warner moister air will start just after 1-2.

The low definitely advected a bit more mid level warmth than expected. Probably helped us out bit up here with this daytime stuff that wasn’t really on anyone’s radar until about 24 hours ago. Even then it didn’t look dynamic enough to be consequential.

Yes sorry I have fat fingers lol-- I find the GRAF solution interesting as it typically is one of the better models for the metro precip wise

The GRAF had us in the 40s at this time and then temps crashed with 10" of snow in the west metro. Maybe something similar will happen

Dumping here again. Just went out and measured. We are just shy of 2” on grassy surfaces now.

I bought my first brand new car last March, Tesla Y.  Missed on the rebates and reduced pricing, was gonna maybe sell it before they announced the price cuts, but my wife hit a deer (it’s drivable, but not sellable) last fall.  The one shop in Portland that can fix it is out until June to fix it…

Based on WSDOT cams it’s dumping snow just a few miles south of chehalis.

ICON says snow hits west metro after 7PM and keeps it going through about 1-2 AM.

Continues to snow further south well into tomorrow AM. I suspect the snow won't be as localized as this thing shows.

The best dynamics have trended north in the models over the past day or 2. It originally looked like the bullseye would be more Malahat to Nanaimo.  Now it’s more Ladysmith to Qualicum.  We’ll have to see what transpires here more south, late this afternoon and this evening, as a little more moisture lifts north and things possible destabilize a bit.
