September 2018 Weather in the Pacific Northwest

TigerWoodsLibido

Recommended Posts

Endless vineyards and orchards. Attracts lots of people.

Did not say it was Bozeman. Nothing can compare to that! But its still charming... like Napa or Sonoma but cheaper.

And almost always sunny which is a draw for us from the west side. :)

I don't know... I've heard North Bend is pretty nice!  ;)

Just outside of Richland now... lots of tour buses from Portland here. And lots of bachlorette party limos and weddings at every winery we stop at today.

Andrew said nobody would ever intentionally go to this area. He needs to visit the WA wine country. Its known around the world. WA is second to CA in wineries. :)20180915_154431.jpg20180915_154608.jpg20180915_154822.jpg

Washington wine was pretty popular in Philly and my hotel in Dubai had Columbia Crest.

In Bonney Lake right now with low clouds and drizzle. One thing that struck me were all of the trees changing color. Maybe I’ve been away for too long, but I feel like we are two weeks ahead.

We're ahead of schedule here in Vancouver as well. Same story in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

I was there too. My nephew plays for Santiam

Wolverines have a really good team. I'd imagine they will at least win the conference. Kennedy absolutely crushed Regis last week, so I was hoping the game last night would be a little more competitive.

That's cool... you just sort of implied awhile back that nobody would ever come out here for a weekend getaway. Its actually packed with people from Seattle and Portland on weekends.

Pouring!!

We live in a strange climate. Rains almost daily forever... then shuts off completely for 8 weeks... then starts raining every day again. Tomorrow will be 10 days in a row already.

Yeah, I guess I will take your word for it. I guess I'm not "with it" like the "hip" people from Portland and Seattle. Thank God!

We are sitting at 0.42" on the month now. Does look wet up in NW Washington. Definitely jealous. The GFS had a nice soaking rain in California at hour 384.

I was talking specifically to Randy and including my area... not Oregon or even Seattle for that matter.

When I google Top Wine Producing Regions in United States I get this: "7 best destinations in US for Wine lovers"

1) Napa,CA

2) Sonoma,CA

3) Willamette Valley, OR

4) Charlottesville, VA

5) Texas Hill Country

6) Finger Lakes Region, NY

7) Paso Robles, CA

Sadly Tri-Cities didn't make that list...

Tim is correct, the #2 wine producing state in the US is Washington however. The top 5 are: CA, WA, NY, OR, TX.

Seriously dude?

There are numerous wine regions in the state. Richland is just on the eastern edge of one region. Makes it convenient and its also one of the most reliably sunny places in the state.

Huskies trying to hold on in Salt Lake. Beavers played in windy Reno and lost by 2 to Nevada by missing a potential FG as time expired (outgained the Pack by 200 yds). Ducks looked bad vs SJSU so I expect next week to be rough. Cougars rolled vs Eastern Washington. Really hope they can get some snow games in Pullman this Nov.

It was dry most of the day here but we had a brief intense downpour. The 0.4” makes it the wettest day since early May

Looks like your area lucked out today. Any decent convective rains continue to elude Victoria, with heavy rain showers reported on all sides. This area is normally pretty convection starved but the past couple years have seemed particularly bad. Currently sitting at around 0.6" on the month.

You should move over there Tim. Think you’d be way happier. That part of Washington is probably drier than 3/4 of California.

Nice to have in our backyard.

Looks like the reservation trick works when plan to go as well. :)

Ordering a rain gauge now before I forget again...Wish I would have had it for the last 10+ days straight of rainfall. It is dumping big time still...our friends in Oregon would be mighty jealous of the sheets of rain pounding down! I have to say being surrounded by woods at our new house it really magnifies the sound of the rain hitting the trees, etc...I do enjoy that. Just wish it would happen during the week!
