Maybe I’m weird but I’ve always liked the early sunsets. The long evenings can be cozy. On the flip side I’ve always enjoyed the super late sunsets on the opposite side of the year too. I enjoy dynamism when it comes to daylight length throughout the year. To me it would be strange living at a lower latitude where daylight length and sun angle are more uniform year round. I realize this is just personal preference though.
Easter Sunday is looking wet and cold around here which is NOT a common theme, in fact, the last time it rain and the temp held in the 60's was wayy back in 1999 (4/4/99). Ever since I've been coming out here, I remember enjoying Easter SUN with sunny skies and warm temps. Not gonna happen this year. I'm ok with, bc I'll be baking a Turkey and some Lamb.
0z Euro has some training storms across the I-80 corridor....this will be a common theme heading into APR/MAY, eventually lifting farther north later in Spring then Summer months. Troughs are going to be plentiful and this will be a signature storm every 45 days or so.
Real non commie talk for a moment, anyone thinking, much less expending any mental energy or anguish over the perceived notion of your “unjust wealth” hasn’t been paying attention to you and the forum for the past decade, or they’re just an asshole. I appreciate your warm map enthusiasm and pictures of your garden plots.
Hell, if I could get my wife to be ok with living more than five miles away from downtown Everett, we’d probably be neighbors.
100% agree with your comments...my cousin sent me a Snapchat video of the brown grass, no leaves, cloudy skies and I just don't miss that at all. Makes you freaking depressed!
The commune did not like my radical views. I also never applied after someone pointed out the hiring freeze and I ended up getting a raise at my current place.
Had a -5/-21 day during the January event that is both lowest high and low for the year. I believe the biggest single snow was 8” coming out of the deep freeze. We’ve had about 50” for the season, which is a bit below average, but it’s been unusual in that it’s melted quickly after every event except for during the January cold spell. Usually there’s snow on the ground almost continuously from November/December to March.
