I'm hoping for a 2006-07 type winter. That would get Randy his November event too.

That was such a fantastic winter!!!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

And the snow is completely gone at work and the wind is warm…Hard to believe we are going to get nailed in a matter of hours.

Yes, you’re not allowed to report springlike conditions, enjoyment of sunshine or bad snow maps. You’ve been warned several times and I personally feel like mod preview is in order Timothy.

Kinda similar to Saturday afternoon here in Tacoma. Was 44 degrees and it did not feel like it was coming later that night. Ended up being one of our better snow events of the winter Sunday morning.

Spring is a fickle beast.

The funny part is that anyone might actually buy that he didn’t want to say anything.

Special Weather Statement
National Weather Service Portland OR
107 PM PST Thu Mar 2 2023

...CHANCES FOR LOWLAND SNOW REMAIN IN THE FORECAST FRIDAY NIGHT
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

There is an increasing threat of snow Friday night and Saturday
morning across the interior lowlands of southwest Washington and
northwest Oregon, including the Portland metro and the I-5
corridor from Eugene, Oregon to Castle Rock, Washington. This is
due to an incoming low pressure system that is set to dive
southward out of the Gulf of Alaska and move towards the Pacific
Northwest Friday night. The main forecast challenge is determining
exactly where this low will track and how heavy precipitation will
be, as the exact track and precipitation intensity will determine
what locations do or do not see accumulating snow. Forecast
uncertainty is currently high as model guidance continues to show
differing tracks of the surface low and varying degrees of
precipitation intensity. While forecast snow amounts are currently
less than one inch across the interior lowlands, there is a small
but nonzero chance for snow amounts in excess of two to four
inches by late Saturday morning (<5% chance as of 1 PM PST
Thursday, March 2nd). If snow amounts in excess of four inches do
end up occurring for some locations, then at least some tree
damage would be expected given the heavy and wet nature of the
snow. Anyone with travel plans Friday night or Saturday should pay
close attention to the forecast over the next 24 hours to monitor
for potential changes as the track of the surface low becomes
more clear.

What is even funnier is, a bunch on here did.

Poor, abused misunderstood guy 😞

I don’t think anyone has really cared about observations of it being spring…since it is spring now. Of course, someone caring and responding negatively to help perpetuate the victim dynamic is always the ultimate goal.

That hood canal snow event is a pretty cool looking setup.  Dumping snow there and nearly dry on the opposite side of the sound.

18z upped the snow chances quite a bit for my area over the next few days.

The set up doesn't happen to often but when it does and just right it can be some of our biggest events,

We come from the land of the ice and snow.

Not much shade up there!

Most of the property is on north facing slopes so it gets really hard to get any meaningful sun between November and February. But about now it just gets spectacular and really hard for any snow or ice to stick around. On the most shaded parts near the house it’s at least two feet.
