18Z ECMWF loop of the c-zone's movement northward from this afternoon through tomorrow morning.   It seems to form and then re-form a little farther north each time.

And then total snow through 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Think I still have PTSD from the horrible winters of 2012/13-2015/16 while the east scored over and over again! 🤣

What's wrong with 2015/16?

At work, we had leased a yard for our import containers in the Sumer/Pacific area. There was a crap ton of rain and there was flooding that flooded streets and fields. We had quite a bit of containers that were submerged in water (Good thing there water tight) and a guy that was working the gaurd shack over there had to be rescued by the fire department. Too bad his car was flooded.

It's hard to see, but these were taken December 2015. It was pretty crazy.

(I know, there was virtually no snow that year. It was an El Nino after all)

The sky is looking very turbulent now! Had a scorching high of 48! Already down to 39.5 currently however. DP 33.
My unmolested grass is still determined to get the growing season going!!

Sister just north of Dallas is reporting tornado sirens. I think due to that system that surged through CA now arriving there?

It wouldn't surprise me if I see snow again tonight over Alpowa Summit like last week. Hopefully the conditions are safe. But I have my snowboard out at home for accumulation here.

It looks like that here too minus the snow on the ground (melted this morning). Been breezy as forecast but not too bad at the moment. Has that overcast grey look.

I’m in a hole in the CZ. 🥲 Reports of heavy hail turning roads white in Mountlake Terrace and Bothell in the last hour. 8DD2D8E1-BEED-43EE-8630-9395D13ABCE3.thumb.png.6f6e97c04b24cd1f1acfd544ffb74c04.png

Hoping I can eke out a final dusting from that. Temperature and dew point maps say it’s certainly possible. Plus getting snow in every month from November to March would put a nice finish on what has been a grade A+ winter.

What if we pulled off another April 2008 or 2022 as well! 6 months straight with a snowfall or multiple snowfalls!!

Temp dropped from 40 to 34 here when the CZ hit and it turned to all heavy wet snow with big flakes. Wasn’t close to sticking but I’ll never get tired of watching snow fall.

Just epic amounts down there!

Watching the radar and having no knowledge of what the ECMWF was showing... I would not expect it to snow tonight at your house.    But I think it will!

I’ll take one for the team and be at lake cushman tomorrow through Sunday. Will be at roughly 1000 ft elevation. Pure luck I’m going up there with this set up potentially happening. Shoveling on Sunday is going to be brutal lol. I’ll take pictures ❄️

Last time I was up there was early January 2022 when it dumped around 10”. Heaviest snow I’ve ever seen at it’s peak

And yesterday, snow visible right down into the Baja. I can't imagine that's a very common occurrence down there:

Happens every winter! The highest point in Baja California is over 10,000 feet elevation, plenty high enough to get snowed on.

I guess it's more of a precipitation problem rather than a temperature problem in some of those areas. That snow cover looks quite extensive.

I’m sure with the cold temperatures recently the snow is lower in elevation than it normally is, but still “snow in Baja!” is not as unusual as it might at first seem.

My wife is in Clarksville, TN visiting our daughter and it looks like the overnight hours might get some exciting weather.

Severe storms seem likely and an outside chance of tornadoes. They are under a High Wind Warning up to 60mph.

My son in law is from Omaha so he has experience with this kind of weather.

Nervous, but wish I was there too!!
