Do you know about our cottonwood seeds? That’s fake snow on a whole other level.

Cottonwood seeds looks more like fairy godmother fuzz to me. Is it different with western cottonwoods?

The way the models have been trending today it wouldn’t surprise me too much to see PDX make a solid run at 80 by next weekend or early the following week.

The nice thing about impressive early season warm spikes like that is that they can often be followed by a lengthy return to long wave troughing. Late April through early June still has the potential to deliver abundant rainfall and cool temps around here. I’d say there’s more historical precedent for that than entering an extended ridgy pattern at this stage of the game and not looking back. Recent precedence is another matter entirely though…

Nasty here in Pullman!  37 and raining and windy.   Just had dinner with a large group of parents and kids here at WSU.   To a person... everyone said it needs to stay nasty and cold until August.  I was too embarrassed to mention that a little warmth sounds nice.    😀

Pass was fine when we crossed about 11am. Just isolated flurries and no stickage.

My in-laws went to WWA Thursday for just an overnight visit as a relative was in the ER...seems odd to us having them visit their niece for that and coming back quick but then again they also beat the snow shortly after I did, but going east.

Staying in SeaTac the next three days. Lots of rain.

Should be fairly dry at SEA after tonight.   Good spot for shadowing with westerly flow.

Unfortunately a flip like 2018 may now be in the offing. We need to really hope these trends reverse or we could be headed for another miserable smokey summer. Jesse and I are old enough to remember when a PNW used to be enjoyable. Last summer even my kids from Oklahoma were wilting in the heat here.

There are some heavy showers coming in. My lightning detector went off last night but my phone was on Don't Disturb so the notification didn't alert me. It was only when I woke up that I saw it. I think it's going to be a active day. 🤗⛈️🌩

That shower going through Hillsboro has some heavy precipitation rates. Let's see how it does going over the West Hills.

Funny thing is that I know you don't actually think this way.  This is probably unnecessarily harsh for this forum even though this is a outdated thread now.

And I am not even doing anything but trying to keep the peace.  Bunch of petulant children in here.  😀
