Surprised to see how hard it’s snowing right now in the defo band. Might pick up an additional 1” of snow if this keeps up! Nice fatty, fluffy flakes falling with the wind and temps in low 20’s. Nice.

Still snowing here. It is deep snowcover as I am looking at 6-8", maybe more. I will try n go take measurements later once the snow stops and post them. It has been snowing now for nearly 7hours. I would say another hour or 2 and it should be a rap. More snow tomorrow as NOAA has me getting several more inches.

at 6 pm EST the temperature here at my house and at GRR is 16 while at the same time it is a reported 33 at Kalamazoo just 50 miles to the south. It it also 34 at Marshall and up at the Sault it is only -7 with light snow falling there'

Tacked on a couple more tenths this morning. Final storm total of 4.3". No complaints here! Awesome snow piles around my driveway now and thick snowcover. Gusty wind out there right now and down to 2°. This is winter.

5.5" of igloo cement here for part-1 of this multi-faceted storm. Stuff stacks like crazy. As noted above, it warmed nicely and calmed for the clean-up right before dark. Actually had drifts inside my garage due to the strong ESE winds. First time since bliz of '99 seeing that happen. Pretty nice snow pack recovery after it was all but gone from the warm rainer Wed.

Cuz there's "LES" involved, lol. Idk, just a bit comical it happens AFTER we have near bliz conditions today

 

Nonetheless, better late then not at all, and it will likely be nasty at times, especially in rural areas where blowing and drifting really cause issues.

Thanks bud! Nice rally to finish over there it looks like. You've got quite the snow depth now no doubt. I'll be chasing you for a bit yet tho this potential LES could help the cause

Tell me about it...but, you should do fairly well w LES these upcoming days.

 

Speaking of blizzard conditions, around 1pm to 400pm was when I was encountering near blizzard conditions here as well. Awesome stuff. Thats when the real accumulating snow was happening.

It was great to finally get out and enjoy winter! Hard to measure the snow but if guess about 10" Strapped on the snowshoes and took the dog for a walk in the park before the North Pole relocates to the Midwest.

Just got back from running some errands and the scenery is really something out there with the deep snow pack and enormous snow piles. It’s unfortunate about the upcoming thaw - would have loved a chance to see a major storm dump on top of what’s currently out there.

Looks like the models did do a good job handling the placement of the heaviest snow band.  My brother is heading to Sheboygan for some biz today and his client said they got 18".  Not sure how accurate that is but it looks like the Lehs did quite well up there.

Total storm snowfall was 6.0" here IMBY. Not too shabby at all. Very intense clipper, that's for sure.

Absolute squally weather. Goes from clear to blizzard conditions in a minute. 2” more inches of LES overnight. Another 3-5 today.

And the total on the ground here are the 3 measurements that I took 14″ 14″ and 16″  I see the temperature here at my house is warmer then the airport GRR is reporting 11 and here at my house it is 15.4° with heavy snow and blowing snow.

A stormy 4-day stretch netted most of Michigan a nice batch of snow cover, especially in the LES belts of west Mich.

 

Deepest depth reported this morning that I saw for SWMI was 19" in Grandville west of GR
